TAMIMI CLARIANT LTD.

TAMIMI CLARIANT LTD is a joint venture originally formed in 1981 with TR Oil Services Ltd., a UK based oilfield chemicals organization and wholly owned subsidiary of the German chemicals giant Hoechst AG. In 1995, Hoechst merged with the Swiss chemical manufacturer Sandoz and the truly global chemical producer Clariant was formed. Today TR Oil Services has been fully integrated into the Clariant organization worldwide and in 2003 the partnership changed its name to Tamimi Clariant Ltd.

In its plant at the second industrial city in Al-Khobar, the company blends a wide range of chemicals for oilfield, refinery and water treatment applications. While these products are created mostly from imported specialty chemicals, over recent years a growing percentage of locally produced materials are being utilized.

While the majority of the Tamimi Clariant's domestic sales are made to Saudi Arabia, it also exports it's full product range too the other four Gulf Co-Operation Council member states and as far a field as Syria and Iran.
